Job Title:  Plant Maintenance Engineer – Direct Hire
Salary:Â $65-95k
Position Summary:
The Plant Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for assessing project requirements and measuring the performance of mechanical components, devices, and systems. Working with Production and Maintenance staff will develop improvements to existing equipment and solutions for areas of nonconformance. Working with senior management will provide guidance on life systems requirements and needs within the facility.Â
Essential Duties
? Manage control system improvement projects. In conjunction with the Maintenance staff, create training modules for Maintenance Technicians
? Implement a total preventive maintenance program for all equipmentÂ
? Manage the creation of technical documents including prints, manuals, software, and programs.Â
? Manage and install capital improvement projects and assist in the design, purchase, and installation of production equipment.Â
? Troubleshoot PLC’s, AC/DC drive systems, tension and heat control loops as necessaryÂ
? Use control systems to obtain data for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.Â
? Organize and review work efforts and scheduling for improvement projects.Â
? Perform detailed planning for maintenance projects (i.e. shut down, equipment overhauls, etc. with other members of the maintenance staff.
? Attend and contribute to daily maintenance/production coordination meetings.
? Recommend and review SOPs that ensure safety and efficiency in the activities of the maintenance department.Â
? Contribute to the LOTO system, Audits, write procedures, and training.Â
? Liaising with suppliers, customers and staffÂ
? Manage budgetsÂ
? Make improvements to current operations to enhance efficiencyÂ
? Investigate production problemsÂ
? Test, evaluate, modify, and re-test equipment and process performance? Provide technical adviceÂ
? Direct the installation of new equipmentÂ
Education:
B.S. Engineering degree in Manufacturing Engineering/or Controls Engineering or related field.Â
Experience:Â
Minimum 3 years experience in an engineering role in a manufacturing operation. Knowledge of and hands-on experience with industrial electronics including PLCs, AC/DC drive systems, tension and heat control systems, PID loops, HMI, heater circuits, web tension, 3-phase circuits required, and compressed air knowledge, Wide web flexo printing, laminating and pouch converting experience and a project engineering role would be preferred. Experience in plastics and printing/converting industry preferred. Maintenance experience preferred. Management and leadership in a printing or manufacturing environment.Â
