Staff Matters, LLC a subsidiary of NSC Technologies has an immediate opening for an Import/Export Compliance Specialist
Salary:Â DOE -Â Direct Hire
Job description:
Work with Product Management, Engineering and Contracts Administrator to ensure all Dual Use related projects are properly documented
- Assign classification of products using the EAR and the CCL, company engineering materials, and other resources
- Assess risk of both suppliers and customers for possible noncompliance activity regarding import or export activities
- Develop AES shipping procedures and conduct training as needed
- Maintain and update all policies and procedure related to Import and Export Compliance – conduct annual employee training
- Maintain all compliance training documents and retention records
- Review all import documentation ensuring import entry values are declared properly and duties and taxes are properly assessed for finish goods and parts/accessories
- Incorporate process related to reviewing and maintaining all shipping records and verify charges are correct
- Maintain relationships with our Customs Broker and Freight Forwarders to improve customer service activities to our customers
- Apply for all export licenses and rulings, including maintaining logs of all licenses, rulings
- Serve as trade compliance subject matter expert in support of business system design and implementation (ERP, etc.)
